Terms of Use
Effective July 3, 2026 · Covers this website (sero.tax)
1. Estimates, not advice
Sero gives you estimates to help you organize your finances and set money aside for taxes. Sero is not a tax preparer, accountant, or financial advisor, and nothing in the app is tax, legal, or financial advice. Estimates are based only on the information you enter and may not reflect your complete tax situation. Always confirm with a qualified professional before filing or making financial decisions. Sero does not file returns and does not move your money.
Using this website creates no advisory, fiduciary, accountant-client, or preparer-client relationship.
2. The calculator
The calculator is provided free, for educational planning. It models federal self-employment and income tax with the standard deduction and QBI deduction, plus an optional flat state rate, for the tax years shown. It does not model credits, itemized deductions, state brackets, or local taxes. Figures may differ from your actual tax liability.
3. Acceptable use
Don't scrape at abusive volume, misrepresent this site's outputs as official tax determinations, or use the Sero name in a way that implies endorsement or advice.
4. No warranties; limitation of liability
The site is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for decisions made based on estimates shown here, or for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
5. The Sero iPhone app
The app has its own terms (subscriptions, accounts, data), published with the app after legal review.
6. Changes
Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date.
